Samuel Adams :: Is the Bible written for everybody or only Christians?

  • “Ultimately, it doesn’t make sense if you don’t understand that this is not just a good book,” says Samuel Adams, PhD, Mennonite Pastor, Assistant Professor of Theology & Social Justice and Director of Graduate Studies at Kilns College. “There’s a living God with whom we interact in its pages.” While there are many valuable truths and ideas in the Bible, its purpose is ultimately to point us to Jesus, which is only relevant to people that want to know more about Him. “[Scriptures] point to something else, not just to themselves.”
