Mike Hogan :: How do I balance doing justice with the need to mobilize others to do justice?

  • “If you really have a burden for the church…it’s going to be this labor of love, of bringing them along, even though it’s hard,” says Mike Hogan, the Northwest Director of Church Mobilization for International Justice Mission. Sometimes it seems easier to just go out and do justice on our own, rather than try to mobilize our community to do justice. But if we believe that living justly is essential for people to thrive, part of our calling will always involve encouraging others to live justly, even if it isn’t as exciting as being in the field. “Justice – if you really get your skin in the game – over the long haul is long and boring.”
