Melissa McCreery :: Why is education important in doing justice?

  • “I believe that education has a purpose, a responsibility to go beyond [merely preparing a successful work force],” states Melissa McCreery, Vice President of Development at Kilns College, “to prepare people to be [workers] with integrity.” It is all well and good to raise up a generation of workers, but if that is all we do, can we really call it education? It is important that education not only instills vocational skills, but good character as well. “Why not give them something more?”
