  • Because displaced downtown communities are moving into suburbia, suburban churches are having to engage issues of diversity and equality like they never have before. “Everything is diversifying,” says Leroy Barber, Author, President of Mission Year and CEO of FCS Urban Ministries. But the idea of the church becoming truly diverse and engaging inequality is a good thing. “We have more than a problem: we have opportunity in front of us.” Let’s let go of fears and prejudices and cultural assumptions and become a truly diverse church.
