  • There were two things happening in Ferguson: a family and community were in mourning, and the town had also become a flashpoint for the national history of racism experienced by people of color at the hands of police. “People are marching for more than just the Brown family, although we want to make sure we are marching with them,” says Leroy Barber, Author and Global Executive Director of Word Made Flesh. “It should jar us to think, ‘What can we do?’”
