“[Use] your mind, your rationality to make a decision on how to serve that reorients your life for service, rather than just putting a service opportunity into your schedule,” says Ken Wytsma, Author, Founder of The Justice Conference and President of Kilns College. With all the needs in the world and in our community, it can be difficult to decide where to jump in and begin serving. On top of that, it’s easy to get burned out if we choose the wrong opportunity or agree to too many things. Choosing a service opportunity that requires us to commute outside the regular pattern of our lives will burn us out. Instead, we need to change the pattern of our lives to include service.
