Paleontologist Stephen Jay Gould claimed that science and religion belonged in two separate “magisteria,” with no overlap of interests. Unfortunately, both Christians and atheists seem to have believed him. Some atheists claim that religion actually harmful to the development of a good, healthy world order, while some Christians won’t engage science at all. A balanced worldview should be able to absorb both spiritual and scientific revelation of the nature of things.
