Nathan George & Keith Wright :: Should I pursue justice work or education first?

  • “There is a huge amount of value in getting experience,” according to Nathan George, Founder of Trade As One. Keith Wright, International President of Food for the Hungry, quickly echoes him: “If you jumped in and got your Masters or even Ph.D…and it’s not for you, what a bummer.” Beyond simply getting experience, we also need to be listening to God and open to his calling on our life, even if it isn’t as exciting as traveling overseas to fight poverty. “That sense of calling is ultimately the most important,” says Keith. “Am I being obedient to what God wants me to do? And if he wants me to sell used cars in Cleveland, am I willing to do that as well?”
