James Pond :: Do Cambodian politics help or hinder sex trafficking?

  • Cambodia’s violent history (Vietnam War, Pol Pot, civil war) has left it vulnerable, and it has developed into an epicenter for sex trafficked. But the story doesn’t end there: “I’m encouraged because we’re seeing the number of trafficked girls lessen and stronger enforcement from police, both local and national,” says James Pond, Founder and Executive Director/Consultant at Transitions in Cambodia.
