Gerry Breshears :: Does sin accumulate over time?

  • “I think that’s true,” says Dr. Gerry Breshears, Author and Professor of Theology at Western Seminary. Addiction is probably one of the clearest examples of sin accumulating in a person’s life. Destructive habits and sin can build up over time just as easily as productive habits can. “Sin also has a way of growing in cultures, because of the vengefulness that goes on.” Adam and Eve’s sin is escalated to Cain murdering Abel, which is later escalated even more.
