Jerry Root :: On C.S. Lewis’s Use of Story and Narrative

  • Lewis thought that choosing between reason and imagination was like asking which wing on an airplane is more important. It takes both to fly. Lewis was a lover of stories and that is seen throughout his work. According to Dr. Jerry Root, Lewis provided a balance between modern and post-modern thinking. His great power in depiction was the ability to get to the core of an argument or concept and then to tell a story that allows the audience to connect to it.
